Thumbs up Got my Blue Baby Back

I just picked up my new Deep Sea Blue Metallic 228i yesterday. I had a 328i 2011, which I had leased because the 128i was too small when I needed to change cars. The 328i was a nice car, but I never "loved" it, but I wanted to get back to BMW after selling (mind snap) my beloved Blue 2003 325i. I had missed that car nearly every day and had a Volvo in the interim.

My 2011 lease was nearly up and I wondered what I would do, when I discovered the 228i, and I have been so excitedly waiting for my build to arrive.

It's taking a little adjustment from the 328i. It is a tad smaller with less cargo and no back seat. At first, I thought: "What have I done???!!!!???"

But, it's a sweet ride with more HSP than the 328 I had in spite of the smaller 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine. Plus, the new 3 series is even bigger. I understand the 3 is now as big as the 7 when it was introduced. Too much car for my taste.

I'll adjust to my little 2 and be a happy camper. This is my 4th BMW over many, many years. Again, I have a BMW I can love. I don't ever plan to own anything else. BMW4ME. So glad to have found this forum.

The car is very scare where I live and accessories are hard to find.

Welcome! The 2-series are awesome cars!

Question: What do you mean by "no back seat?" Mine has one, and it folds down. Did you not fold yours "up?"

Sorry, meant no back seat to speak off---compared to my 328. I wouldn't want to sit back there very long. Doesn't look like much foot room.

welcome to the site! With my 1er I never considered the back seat, the back seat, I always viewed it as more of an extra trunk

An excellent point. I am adjusting to the reduced size. The handling and smooth ride is greatly improved over the 2011 328i. I could have gotten more car for less money, but not as much fun.

On the road, I notice my car seems about the size of some older 328i and even saw a 335i about my size.

Finally, I have some pics. How do I post them. They are on my computer, not URLS.
