Didn't Apple trademark pinch to zoom in and out. Maybe that would explain why BMW doesn't want to do touchscreens and deal with those smartphone manufacturers and their lawsuits.

Apple is creating a new feature in their ios7 that integrates car features in the iphone unto the car infotainment system. BMW has confirmed to be involved yet, but there is talk.
