Auto Dip Rear View Mirror

Hello,

Finally took delivery of my 220d Sport last week after 5 months of waiting and in that period BMW have decided to drop the auto dip rear view mirror as being a standard fit to an optional extra.

Sadly my dealer missed this piece of information and I only noticed after wondering why it wasn't working very well (first BMW with this option).

I am pushing to get them to retrofit the item but they think it needs encoding on the control unit - I suspect they are dodging spending the money on the part.

Anyone know if you this is a simple plug and play option aside from providing power to it?

My expiriance with adding parts to bmw is they always need coding. But not 100% sure on the part your talking about. I did have my car coded so my side mirrors would fold and I could have auto up and down windows with my remote :

How does someone go about getting coding done? Is it something you can do yourself or done right through a BMW dealer?

Yes the dealer can do it for you if you adding parts. I am not sure if they would do any types of codes to add options to your car like auto folding mirrors or have your windows roll up and down with using the key fob.

I had a 08 335xi and I added a factory alarm to it and found someone on the forum that did coding on the side for money. It was so long ago I don't remember the process he used to do it but he was able to get my alarm to work that I installed and have my windows roll up and down with the fob and also get my side mirrors to fold when I locked the car.

It was a lot cheaper to have him do it then taking it to the dealer I know that.

Real help guys. Thank's all!

Lift units are exceptional items with cutting edge works that are utilized for full footing and exceedingly adaptable taking care of abilities. With a lift unit https://xlraceparts.com/ford-escape-lift-kit-review the vehicle can take all corners better and performs better on drag racings. Regardless of whether a standard utility vehicle, a lift pack can withstand incredible measure of weight on the highest level.
